What can I use to keep my dog from dirtying the house. She’s on her period. Can I use pampers?

A friend of mine told me that she uses pampers on her dog. I was thinking about using them also because I feel so bad confining my dog to one room of the house. That dog is like my child! lol

i used pampers with my female pitbull when she went into her first heat…we happen to be on a road trip to colorado and the only thing we could find to help her was pampers….they will try to tear them off but they work wonders so they can roam around the house while your there and be in the kitchen or bathroom when your not…or in a crate….we just cut a whole in the back for the tail..there was usually a picture of elmo or cookie montster that we used for a template and cut from the bottom of the picture to the top….we tried the doggie diapers at petco but they were useless because it got everywhere in the diaper not just on the little pad….and using pampers is so much cleaner because you can just take it off and throw the whole thing away….if your not going to be home like i said i would still confine her we have video tape of our dog ripping off her diaper because she thought we had left for work (we actually just stepped outside for a few min and turned on the camera…lol…funny stuff)…but good luck and i feel your pain about a “dirty” house because of this….
